Lynne Lyons, MD

Novi location

Psychiatrist and Medical Director of Abaris Behavioral Health

Dr. Lyons is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who has been with our practice since 1999. She did her psychiatric training at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. She has extensive experience in the evaluation and pharmacologic treatment of a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders. She serves adults (18 and over) for diagnostic evaluations, medication assessments and provides treatment with psychopharmacologic medication. She works well with clinical counselors and therapists, and believes that a combination of psychotherapy and medication provide best practice treatment for many clients. She also provides ongoing care, after recovery, with maintenance treatment and prevention of recurrences.

In addition to her work at Abaris Behavioral Health, Dr. Lyons is the Medical Director of Rose Hill Center. Rose Hill is a residential psychiatric rehabilitation program in Holly, Michigan that specializes in the treatment of schizophrenia and severe mood disorders.


 

Ingrid Martinez-Lyons, MD

Psychiatrist

Dr. Martinez-Lyons is an Adult Psychiatrist . She completed her residency in psychiatry at Albert Einstein Medical College in Bronx, New York. She completed a clinical research fellowship in anxiety, affective disorders and Alzheimer’s disease at Lafayette clinic, Wayne State University School of Medicine. She provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment of a variety of problems including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorders
  • Schizophrenia
  • Substance abuse
  • Stress-related medical conditions
  • Attention-deficit disorders
  • Dementia

 

Ginger Blair, MSW, CAADC

Clinical Social Worker

Ginger is a Licensed clinical social worker and a certified advanced addictions counselor. She is a certified pathological gambling counselor, trauma and loss specialist, and completed four years of training in bioenergetic analysis. She has extensive experience working with a wide variety of concern, complaints, and conditions, including:

  • Depression; anxiety
  • Stress/anger management
  • Substance Abuse and Dependency; dual diagnosis
  • PTSD, abuse
  • Relationship difficulties, family problems and interpersonal skills deficiencies

 

Sara K. Chase, PhD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Chase is a Clinical Psychologist experienced in treating children, adolescents, and adults. She provides quality diagnostic evaluations, specialized testing, and counseling to treat a broad range of problems, including:

  • Developmental difficulties/delays (specialization with Autism, Asperger, PDD-NOS evaluations)
  • Trauma, grief, & loss (Dr. Chase is a Trauma and Loss Clinical Consultant)
  • New parent issues
  • Learning and academic problems – intellectual and cognitive testing, achievement testing (for children and adults)
  • Cognitive impairments – ADHD
  • Experience with children diagnosed with genetic and metabolic disorders
  • Family difficulties, including divorce, infertility, loss
  • Parenting assistance and skills
  • Anxiety / stress – generalized anxiety, panic, OCD, phobias

Dr. Chase is experienced and dedicated to providing quality care for children and families. She is currently on staff at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in the Division of Genetic and Metabolic Disorders. Dr. Chase is also the former Director of Psychology at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Autism Center.


 

Tamieka Caldwell, MA, LLP, MPH

Limited Licensed Psychologist

Tamieka S. Caldwell is a clinical psychologist with a Master’s Degree from Roosevelt University and a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Behavior. She is also a certified in parent management training to assist parents with child behavior challenges such as defiance and impulsivity. She has worked in a variety of settings from child welfare to social science research. Tamieka provides individual therapy to clients of many concerns and challenges including:

In clinical practice, Tamieka seeks to utilize empowerment and encourage self-acceptance for overall emotional well-being. Her goal is to be an agent of change and help clients acquire appropriate coping skills and use supports. Tamieka’s approach is eclectic and includes applications of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Insight Therapy, Mindfulness Based Relaxation Techniques and other approaches. Treatment sessions with each client are tailored to his/her needs, desires and person-centered goals.


 

Kristen Chapman

Kristen Chapman is a Licensed Masters Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor who utilizes an eclectic approach to tailor therapy to the needs of her clients. She borrows from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, and Strengths-Based Approaches and believes it is essential to treat the whole person – mind body and spirit. Kristen provides counseling to adults, adolescents, and couples on a variety of issues, including:

Sheena Henderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Sheena has counseling experience with adults, adolescents, and families. She works with a diverse population and is comfortable with individuals and families of all backgrounds. With many years of therapeutic experience, Sheena brings a vibrant energy to her therapy sessions, with an individualized strength based approach to meet the unique needs of individuals and families. Her clinical specialties include but are not limited to the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, depression, relationship and family issues, self-worth/esteem issues, grief and loss, phase of life changes, and traumatic stress.


 

Alison Lindensmith, LMSW

Clinical Social Worker

Alison Lindensmith is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) who encompasses different therapeutic approaches to fit the specific needs of each client. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families of a multitude of backgrounds. She embraces a psychodynamic method and encourages individualized strength based approaches that focus on person centered planning when working with clients. Her clinical specialties include but are not limited to the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral concerns, parenting concerns, self-esteem, family conflict, and traumatic stress (post traumatic stress disorder). She is dedicated to ensuring every client feels heard, validated, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.


 

Tammy O’Brien, LPC

Tammy is a Master’s Level Clinical Psychologist who graduated from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology. She is trained in humanistic and clinical psychology as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy. Tammy’s approach is meeting you, the client where you’re at in the moment, to ensure that you have a safe and accepting space to unpack life’s stressors.

Tammy believes in a very holistic approach to healing. It’s important to listen to our body and respect our comforts and discomforts. Everything needed to work through life’s experiences is already within you, Tammy will simply act as a guide during the hike of processing through trauma, anxiety, depression and any of life’s other stressors.


 

David A. Rigo, MS

David Rigo is a Clinical Psychologist experienced in treating adults, adolescents, and older children. Mr. Rigo is a graduate of the Clinical Psychology program at Madonna University and has completed additional training programs at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. He utilizes a Psychodynamic understanding of human behavior to assist people with a broad range of difficulties including:

Bettie A. Williams LLPC, CCTP

Bettie is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), she believes in a client-centered approach with a holistic framework. Trauma & grief manifest in many different forms & everyone reacts and responds differently according to their personal worldview. She respects everyone without judgment & honors each person for their own beliefs. In clinical practice, Bettie believes in walking with you through the healing process at your speed, as your journey partner. If you are seeking a Christian therapist who understands your spiritual walk, she has a theology background. However, Bettie respects everyone’s belief system.

Bettie encourages all those who are experiencing any of these symptoms, grief, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, helplessness, unforgiveness of self/others, sleeplessness, crying spells, can’t focus, anger, or resentment, to reach out to her for assistance.
